This period drama was created and co-written by Lenny Henry. I noticed in reviews that anecdotally The “Call the Midwife” audience seem to particularly like, perhaps because it takes place around the same time and place, and tries to combine serious drama with some more lighthearted material.
It is mildly entertaining and worth the time....
